Bigger than makeup

In this magazine we see a number of gown designers who have created princess-like brides.  Now let's look at the hairdo that dramatically alters the look of bride.

Grace, the boss of JustGracy, is one of the makeup artists who noticed the importance of hairdo and its influence on the overall impression of the bride.  She has been devoting her time to creating new styles over the past few years.  So, how did she get started?

"I have been a makeup artist for brides for some years," she said, "and seen many cases when brides looked at their hair decoration, and their eyes sparkled as when they see jewelry."  Grace said brides do love hair decoration as much as their gowns, and all brides wish to look perfect for the their once-a-lifetime occasion.

This part of "the look" has been taken seriously by Gracy.  She began to think, and decided to start her business.  The current location in Central is her starting place and she has been in this profession for three years.  And she still has no trouble providing new ideas for brides.

"Actually most brides are very eager to get involved in deciding their hair style," she said.  "It is not difficult to discuss with the bride.  Soon we agree on a suitable design."

Lately Grace has attempted to incorporate fresh flowers into the wedding hairdo as one of JustGracy's signature features.

"Flowers have always been a symbol for pureness and their colors are diverse.  Each different kind of flower, contains its unique color and beauty.  This is the reason brides are so keen on the idea - that they are all unique in the world and irreplaceable."

It is true that fresh flowers wither easily when lacking water.  If the flower dries out too quickly, it takes away from the bride's look. Luckily she has the support from a flower shop and allows her some trial and error.

"I am glad that some of my experiments have turned out to be successes.  Several of my clients have indeed worn flowers as their hair decoration in their wedding and they loved it."  To have received appreciation from the clients after such a long journey of trial and error, it does not need any words to describe how happy Gracy has felt.

Asked which is the most popular hair style for brides, Gracy said it is the French roll Audrey Hepburn used to wear.  "This is the simplest hairdo that so thoroughly shows the elegance of the bride.  I believe this will still be the trend for some years," Gracy declared.

To Gracy, the  hairdo is even more important than makeup.  Even though your compaction and contour is not perfect, hair style is the major element.

When you are fully aware of this, you may find yourself completely different with the same gown and make up.
